Senior Fashion Designer
Role Overview:
As a Fashion Designer specialising in lifestyle and sportswear, you will be responsible for conceptualising and developing seasonal collections that fuse functionality with fashion. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, merchandising, and marketing to bring your designs to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop lifestyle and sportswear collections from concept to final product.
- Conduct market research and trend forecasting to ensure designs are relevant and competitive.
- Create detailed technical sketches, mood boards, and fabric selections.
- Collaborate with pattern makers and sample rooms to ensure fit and quality standards.
- Attend fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and style.
- Work with the sustainability team to incorporate eco-conscious materials and practices.
- Present design concepts to internal stakeholders and contribute to brand storytelling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in designing lifestyle or sportswear apparel.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, performance fabrics, and activewear trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD software.
- Excellent sketching and visualization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
