Summary:
An exciting and dynamic private equity firm specialized within manufacturing industries is seeking to build out its Procurement department with highly skilled and adaptable Senior Procurement Professionals. These central titles within the organization will support a variety of projects across all procurement functions, including sourcing, procurement, purchasing, vendor management, and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both management consulting and industry experience with a manufacturer. Emphasis in this search is less on any specific industry and more on ability to perform and adapt to fast paced, changing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage procurement activities across multiple projects and functions.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms for the company.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff.
- Continuously improve procurement processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement functions, with a proven track record of success.
- Experience in both management consulting and industry, particularly within manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
