Senior Project Engineer - Based in GBA area
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to lead and deliver complex automation and AI-driven projects within our OEM manufacturing ecosystem. You will play a critical role in shaping next‑generation production systems, integrating intelligent automation solutions, and driving large-scale engineering initiatives from concept to deployment.
This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and has a passion for innovation, data-driven technologies, and building smart factory capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project execution for automation and AI initiatives, from requirements gathering and design through implementation, testing, and commissioning.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Software Engineering, and OEM partners.
- Develop and optimize automated production lines, robotics systems, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Evaluate and integrate technologies such as machine learning models, machine vision systems, edge computing, robotics, and advanced sensors.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, technical risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production throughput, quality, and reliability.
- Provide technical mentor ship to junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in automation engineering, industrial AI systems, robotics integration, or OEM manufacturing projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- PLC programming and industrial control systems
- Machine vision platforms
- Data acquisition, sensors, and industrial communication protocols
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in manufacturing (e.g., predictive quality, anomaly detection, vision-based inspection).
- Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary engineering projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English is a must.
