Key Responsibilities
Technical Marketing & Customer Support
- Provide product knowledge, formulation guidance, and application expertise to distributors and customers, helping position the company's natural‑based ingredients effectively in the marketplace.
- Deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and workshops to enhance customer engagement and strengthen product adoption.
- Act as a technical partner in customer projects, supporting product development, formulation trials, and application optimization for personal care and beauty products.
Market Insights & Positioning
- Continuously analyze market, regulatory, and consumer trends within China's beauty and personal care industry to support positioning strategies for oleochemical‑based solutions.
- Translate insights into technical marketing content, application concepts, and go‑to‑market messaging that highlight the value of renewable, sustainable raw materials.
- Support new product introductions by aligning local market needs with the company's global R&D and innovation capabilities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, marketing, R&D, supply chain, and global technical teams to deliver cohesive customer solutions and execute the Health & Beauty growth strategy.
- Ensure consistent product messaging and technical accuracy across all distributor and customer touchpoints.
- Provide technical feedback from the market to internal teams to guide innovation and portfolio development.
Strategic Contribution
- Align technical activities with the long‑term Health & Beauty category strategy in China, supporting sustainable business development.
- Deliver insights that strengthen the company's positioning as a key partner for natural, bio‑based ingredients in personal care formulations.
- Report directly to the General Manager of the local sales affiliate.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related technical discipline-or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical marketing, application development, or technical sales support within the health & beauty or personal care ingredient sector.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulation principles, and market dynamics; familiarity with oleochemicals is an advantage.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into compelling commercial value propositions.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote role while collaborating with international, cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 75% for customer visits, distributor support, and industry engagements.
