Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze production drawings to determine material, labor, and operational needs.
- Develop and manage production documentation using tools like INFOR and Microsoft Excel.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to align production plans with delivery targets.
- Oversee inventory levels for raw materials, fabricated parts, and standardized components.
- Identify and assess suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery times, and reliability.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, issue purchase orders, and ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Synchronize material availability with production schedules to prevent disruptions.
- Support initiatives aimed at enhancing material management and inventory efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of Procurement and/or Planning experience required
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel for scheduling, monitoring, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with fabrication materials such as structural steel, pipe, and plate.
- Hands-on knowledge of processes like welding, cutting, machining, and forming.
- Competency in interpreting technical specifications, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication abilities for effective cross-functional collaboration.
