Demand Planning Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Demand Planning Manager to lead our client's forecasting and demand planning function. This role is pivotal in aligning supply with market demand, optimizing inventory, and driving cross-functional collaboration. You will also manage a team of demand planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of demand planners, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development.
- Own the end-to-end demand planning process, ensuring accurate forecasts and alignment with business goals.
- Drive the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, facilitating cross-functional consensus.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to integrate market intelligence, promotional plans, and new product introductions into forecasts.
- Monitor and improve forecast accuracy through data analysis and process enhancements.
- Partner with Supply Planning and Procurement to ensure supply meets demand efficiently.
- Analyze inventory trends and recommend actions to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Provide actionable insights and reporting to senior leadership.
- Support system upgrades and ensure data integrity across planning tools and ERP systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in forecasting tools and Excel; experience with SAP/APO, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
