Are you a quality-driven leader ready to make a lasting impact in the food industry? A premier food manufacturer is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to lead and elevate its quality and food safety programs across multiple bakery and warehouse locations in NY and NJ.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Quality Assurance and Regulatory team.
- Oversee and continuously improve quality and food safety systems to meet BRC, government, and customer standards.
- Serve as the primary lead for audits, while mentoring your team to manage them independently.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to resolve customer issues and drive product excellence.
- Tackle complex food safety and quality challenges using your expertise in HACCP, cGMP, allergen control, and more.
- Manage vendor compliance for raw materials, packaging, and logistics.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, USDA, and other governing bodies.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering.
- 8+ years of progressive QA experience in food manufacturing, with multi-site oversight preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong leadership presence with a passion for coaching and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to respond quickly and work non-traditional hours when needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA systems.
