Electrical Engineer - Marine Fabrication
Location: Vancouver, WA
Salary Range: $105,000 - $120,00
An full-service marine contractor with a national presence, offering innovative fabrication, maintenance, and modernization solutions for defense and commercial maritime sectors is hiring an Electrical Engineer. The engineer will design and support electrical systems for aluminum and steel vessels, including modeling, drawing, calculations, and production support. Participate in sea trials and maintain engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design vessel electrical systems and create detailed documentation
- Perform system calculations and support project estimates
- Assist production teams and oversee sea trials
- Maintain engineering libraries and standards
- May supervise up to two engineers/designers or subcontractors
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office; SolidWorks, Rhino, or Ship Constructor preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in vessel design, arrangements, and systems
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- BA in engineering required; marine, electrical, or mechanical preferred
- Minimum 5 years marine experience; familiarity with CFR, IACS, ABYC, IEEE, and military contracts preferred
