Indirect Buyer
This Buyer II will manage supplier relationships and sourcing activities across various business functions. This role supports U.S. operations by sourcing commodities such as operational supplies, travel contracts, and other non-production items essential to business processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in pricing negotiations, procurement coordination, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and issue RFPs/RFQs, considering market trends, cost impacts, and strategic priorities.
- Negotiate pricing based on ideal cost levels using market intelligence, not just budget constraints.
- Identify and support implementation of process and technology improvements to enhance competitiveness.
- Foster strong supplier relationships and ensure fair treatment while facilitating performance-related communication.
- Validate supplier pricing, maintain accurate pricing records, and forecast cost impacts with proper documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve supply issues within assigned commodities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sourcing non-production commodities.
- Proficiency in SAP Ariba and Microsoft Office.
- CPP or CIPS Level 2 certification preferred.
