Pay: $120,000 - $140,000 per year

This role is responsible for leading and overseeing planned and unplanned maintenance activities within a heavy manufacturing environment, with a focus on reliability excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. The Maintenance Superintendent will manage supervisors, planners, and skilled trades while driving a strong culture of problem-solving, employee development, and operational excellence. This position supports 24/7 operations and includes on-call responsibilities.

As the Maintenance Superintendent, you will:

  • Lead maintenance teams supporting Hot Mill operations, including repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability
  • Deploy Reliability Excellence tools and continuous improvement initiatives across the department
  • Ensure execution of EHS initiatives, regulatory compliance, and company standards
  • Develop and mentor maintenance supervisors, planners, and technicians through coaching and performance management
  • Drive strategic maintenance planning to improve uptime, labor efficiency, and material cost performance
  • Manage department budgets, forecasts, and cost improvement activities while partnering with Procurement on contracts and services

The Maintenance Superintendent should have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 6+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment with supervisory responsibility
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with industrial reliability and maintenance systems in a union plant environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cultural change, and work across all levels of the organization
