Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations during assigned shifts in a continuous production environment. This role ensures timely and effective maintenance support to sustain operational efficiency. Responsibilities include planning and assigning tasks, resolving equipment and personnel issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with engineering and facility teams to enhance equipment safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Lead maintenance activities and capital improvement projects across the site.
  • Apply mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
  • Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to schedule and track preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure all utility systems (e.g., refrigeration, electrical, steam, compressed air) are functioning optimally to support operations.
  • Implement corrective actions based on maintenance performance metrics to improve equipment effectiveness.
  • Stay informed on industry standards and regulations related to mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and standards in both daily operations and project execution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance logs, incident reports, technical manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Promote continuous improvement and share best practices within the maintenance team.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and regulatory compliance among staff, contractors, and vendors.
  • Manage team performance through planning, coaching, and development.
  • Assess team capabilities and support training initiatives for skill enhancement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food, beverage, or related manufacturing environments.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with boilers, refrigeration systems, PLCs, electrical systems, cooling towers, and packaging equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electronics, instrumentation, and electrical systems; ability to read schematics and ladder logic.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Proven ability to follow and enforce safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance planning software; experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Capable of motivating and developing a high-performing team.
  • Analytical skills to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Understanding of budgeting and cost control principles.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
