Our client, a global leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Project Engineer - Construction (m/f/d) to join their European headquarters in Augsburg, Germany. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in managing complex construction projects and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and contractual standards.

Role Description

As a Project Engineer for Construction, you will be responsible for supervising construction activities, managing project documentation, and supporting project managers throughout the entire lifecycle of large-scale projects. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and cost control while ensuring timely delivery.

  • Supervise construction sites to uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, quotations, and change requests.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and assist in resolving issues.
  • Monitor project costs, manage change orders, and support negotiations.
  • Review and approve invoices and verify construction progress.
  • Prepare status reports on project costs and timelines for senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction technology and large-scale project execution.
  • Proven experience in project management, risk assessment, and conflict resolution.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; AutoCAD experience is desirable.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel internationally and a valid driver's license.
