A leading provider of innovative flexible packaging solutions is seeking a National Account Manager to join their team. Position Summary:

The National Accounts Manager - East will be responsible for managing and growing key national accounts within the Eastern U.S. territory, with a specialized focus on the confectionery and dry goods sectors. This role requires a strategic, customer-focused sales professional with deep expertise in flexible packaging and a proven track record of success in the food packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management & Growth:
    Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue and share of wallet with existing national accounts in the confection and dry goods categories.
  • New Business Development:
    Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Eastern U.S., leveraging industry knowledge and market insights.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including procurement, R&D, and operations teams.
  • Technical Collaboration:
    Work closely with APC's technical, engineering, and product development teams to deliver innovative, value-added flexible packaging solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Market Intelligence:
    Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy and product development.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
    Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5-10 years of sales or account management experience in the flexible packaging industry, with direct experience in the confectionery and dry goods markets.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    Deep understanding of flexible packaging materials, converting processes, and food safety regulations.
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree. MBA is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to travel up to 50% within the Eastern U.S.
