Promotions Planning Manager
Summary:
A leading supply chain management organization in the food service industry is seeking a Manager of Promotions Planning to support national promotional initiatives across a large restaurant network. This role is critical in ensuring product availability during promotional periods while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in demand planning, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration to drive successful execution of promotional campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotions Execution & Inventory Management
- Lead the planning and execution of national promotions to ensure uninterrupted product supply across the distribution network.
- Monitor inventory levels across suppliers, centralized distribution centers (CDCs), and regional distribution centers to identify risks and opportunities.
- Review and adjust open purchase orders to align with promotional timelines and inventory targets.
- Collaborate with suppliers and distributors to resolve supply issues and optimize inventory flow before, during, and after promotional events.
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain detailed forecasts at both menu and item levels to support promotional planning.
- Translate marketing inputs into actionable demand plans using historical data, trend analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including marketing, procurement, and logistics to align forecasts with promotional strategies.
- Continuously refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and responsiveness to market dynamics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison between marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure alignment on promotional goals and execution plans.
- Provide analytical support and insights to stakeholders to inform decision-making and mitigate supply risks.
- Support local promotions and product tests with tailored planning and forecasting strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or inventory management, preferably in a food service or consumer goods environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, forecasting tools, and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of cross-functional success.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
