Quality Engineer
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and processes to ensure that heavy machinery products meet internal standards and customer requirements. This role involves hands-on inspection, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and support compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for product and process non-conformances.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and testing of components and finished products.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, FMEAs, and work instructions.
- Support supplier quality initiatives and evaluate incoming materials for compliance.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within heavy machinery or industrial manufacturing.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, 8D, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with GD&T and mechanical inspection techniques.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP and QMS software is a plus.
