Regional Mechanical Engineer
Summary:
DSJ Global has partnered with a leading Chemical Manufacturer on an exciting new role to bring in a Regional Mechanical Engineer. This role will provide technical guidance across all sites for rotating and fixed equipment, supporting mechanical failures, turbomachinery issues, reliability improvements, capital projects, and turnaround activities. This position will collaborate with procurement on equipment and service initiatives and help drive long-term asset performance and availability.
Responsibilities:
- You will provide guidance to all regional manufacturing sites on rotating and fixed equipment related matters.
- Support all manufacturing sites with mechanical related failures, turbomachinery issues, reliability improvements, capital projects, and assistance during plant turnarounds.
- Support the internal procurement team on various mechanical services and equipment initiatives.
- Ensure that work is carried out to comply with the integrated management system following regulatory guidelines.
- Support manufacturing plant efforts to continually improve the long-term equipment performance and availability of rotating and fixed assets.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiative as set by management.
- This role requires regular presence in the workplace and an ability to work extra hours as required to meet daily production objectives.
- Other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.
Ideal Background:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant maintenance/engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or refinery required.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Minimum 10 years of experience in turbomachinery preferred.
- SAP or related CMMS experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills are required for this role.
