The Opportunity
Our client, a leading sustainable packaging company, is seeking a Sales Manager who is expected to collaborate with internal sales teams, branch leadership, customers, and suppliers to identify new business opportunities, establish supplier relationships, and implement daily operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically develop the core client base and prospect for new business
- Lead the development and mentoring of sales staff
- Recruit qualified candidates to build a strong sales team
- Maintain deep knowledge of key accounts and target prospects
- Identify cost-saving opportunities within customer environments and implement tailored solutions
- Collaborate with leadership to define sales budgets, strategies, and tactical plans by product line, customer segment, and market
- Oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations to support sales program success
- Analyze operational data to forecast sales and assess profitability
- Support the sales team in identifying and defining new business opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proven experience in sales leadership and management, including recruiting, training, and achieving strong sales performance
- 3-5 years of direct sales experience
- Experience managing organizational change
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
