Supervisor Production Injectables
Purpose and Scope
The Injectable Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates shift-based manufacturing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and production planning. This role ensures that all products are manufactured efficiently and meet the highest quality standards to support patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage the performance of hourly employees within the injectable manufacturing team.
- Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for hourly staff.
- Communicate company priorities, policies, and updates clearly and transparently to team members.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Review and approve employee timesheets.
- Establish and communicate daily production priorities with Process Leads and team members.
- Oversee the Process Lead's activities, including coordination of onboarding, line orientation, and risk assessment training for new or transitioning employees.
- Monitor employee training progress and assess readiness for independent work.
- Ensure adherence to all quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, revise, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Production Batch Records.
- Review batch records, prioritize completion, address corrections, and ensure timely execution.
- Perform ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) inventory transactions accurately and promptly.
- Lead investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformance events.
- Approve batch record expiration dates prior to manufacturing.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Special Skills and Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) related to production and packaging.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) as required in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed production records and validation protocols accurately.
- Solid math and documentation skills to record production data in batch records and logbooks.
- Strong attention to detail for reviewing documentation and verifying product quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, manual assembly environment using standard production equipment.
- Capability to complete documentation accurately and legibly.
- Technical proficiency in assembling and disassembling filling equipment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to support leadership decisions and communicate organizational changes positively.
- Maintains open, constructive communication with peers and leadership.
- Demonstrates accountability for personal and team performance.
- Establishes and reinforces clear expectations and accountability within the team.
