Production Supervisor
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing frontline employees, driving operational performance, maintaining a strong safety culture, and ensuring customer expectations are met through efficient production, warehousing, and shipping activities.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with experience managing production teams, coordinating logistics, and improving operational processes. This individual will play a key role in achieving productivity, quality, safety, and service objectives while providing coaching and direction to hourly team members.
Key Responsibilities:.
- Lead and support daily production, warehouse, and distribution activities for a designated shift.
- Supervise, coach, and develop frontline employees to promote safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and service metrics to ensure performance goals are achieved.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and equipment standards.
- Coordinate shipping schedules, delivery routes, inventory movement, and customer order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with transportation, customer service, engineering, and sales teams to support customer needs and operational priorities.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and performance data.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, optimize workflow, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory storage, material handling processes, and warehouse organization to maximize space utilization and operational effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in leadership meetings and cross-functional projects.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and utilized safely to support operational objectives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing, packaging, distribution, or warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in a high-volume operational setting.
- Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Proven ability to drive safety, quality, and performance improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
