Title: Cost Accountant

Salary: $80-100K

Location: Collingswood, NJ

Schedule: Onsite

Company Profile: A leader in the food space is looking to add a Cost Accountant to their team. This person will be responsible for supporting the consolidation of the company's North American operations. This position requires a highly analytical professional with strong IT capabilities to streamline processes, develop operational insights, and support strategic decision making. The ideal candidate will work closely with plant operations, finance, and senior management, gaining hands-on experience across multiple functions.

The Cost Accountant Will Be Responsible for the Following:

  • Develop and maintain standard actual product costs across multiple product lines
  • Analyze raw materials, labor, and overhead costs to ensure accurate product costing
  • Perform cost variance analysis and identify key drivers impacting profitability
  • Actively collaborate with production teams at two plants to understand manufacturing processes and cost drivers
  • Conduct regular plant visits to gain firsthand knowledge of operations and validate cost assumptions

The Cost Accountant Should Have the Following Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in food manufacturing
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of new costing processes
