The organization generates over $500 million in annual revenue and maintains a strong presence in both Hispanic and mainstream consumer markets A leading global food manufacturer and consumer packaged goods company is seeking a National Sales Manager to join its growing team.
The National Sales Manager will lead the strategic management and growth of assigned national accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for these key customers. This role is responsible for developing and executing account strategies that drive revenue growth, expand distribution, and improve profitability across major national partners.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, proven account management experience, and the ability to build long-term customer partnerships in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive volume, revenue, and distribution growth within assigned national accounts through fact-based selling and strategic account planning
- Develop and implement customer-specific strategies aligned with organizational objectives and profitability targets
- Manage account financials including trade budgets, promotional investments, and overall account profitability
- Analyze sales performance, industry trends, and customer data to identify gaps, risks, and growth opportunities
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, and quarterly business reviews with customers and internal leadership
- Oversee key account functions including:
- Customer agreements and contract negotiations
- New item launches and item maintenance
- Promotional planning and execution
- Assortment optimization and distribution expansion
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade and marketing programs; recommend pricing and promotional strategies
- Prepare and deliver sales performance updates, insights, and growth plans to senior management
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's presence within assigned accounts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, and Logistics to support flawless execution and operational alignment
- Attend industry trade shows, customer meetings, and relevant events as a company representative

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in CPG sales, account management, or related field preferred
- Experience with Club and Value Channel customers preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and financial management capabilities
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
