Plant Manager
One of our clients in the paper packaging industry is seeking a new General Manager at their facility in the Greater Milwaukee/Chicago area. This role is an opportunity to join an industry leader in the space and provides strong growth opportunities.
Title: General Manager
Location: Greater Milwaukee Area
Compensation: $200,000 - $235,000 + 30% bonus
Responsibilities:
- Full P&L ownership for the facility, driving profitability through cost control, operational efficiency, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Lead all plant operations including corrugating, converting, production, maintenance, warehousing, and shipping to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to improve throughput, customer service, on-time delivery, and overall plant performance.
- Build, coach, and develop leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to align production capabilities with customer demand and business objectives.
Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of progressive plant leadership experience within a corrugated packaging manufacturing environment, including direct oversight of both corrugator and converting operations.
- Demonstrated full P&L ownership with a proven track record of improving profitability, reducing costs, and driving operational performance.
- Strong background leading safety, quality, production, maintenance, and supply chain functions in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and workforce development initiatives to increase productivity and employee engagement.
- Proven ability to lead and develop salaried and hourly teams while driving accountability, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery performance.
