Plant Manager required for Food Manufacturing & Packaging Company

* Greater Hicksville, NY
We're looking for a hands-on, results-driven Plant Manager to lead all plant operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing and packaging environment. This role will drive production, fulfillment, safety, quality, and operational performance while ensuring on-time delivery in a high-volume, short lead-time operation.
The Plant Manager will have the following responsibilities:
* Lead daily plant operations across production, packaging, fulfillment, and shipping
* Drive operational execution to meet production targets and customer delivery commitments
* Improve throughput, productivity, and labor efficiency while managing operating costs
* Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to optimize production flow
* Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and plant personnel across multiple shifts
* Establish accountability through clear KPIs, performance metrics, and operating standards
* Partner with planning and scheduling teams to ensure achievable production plans
* Monitor plant performance and adjust resources to meet changing operational demands
* Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FDA, and food safety requirements
* Maintain a safe, organized, and audit-ready facility
* Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and service levels
The ideal Plant Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
* 7+ years of plant management or manufacturing operations leadership experience
* Experience within food manufacturing, packaging, consumer products, or regulated production environments
* Strong background in high-volume manufacturing with complex production schedules
* Proven success improving throughput, productivity, and operational performance
* Experience leading multi-shift production teams and developing frontline leadership
* Knowledge of production planning, labor management, and capacity optimization
* Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, FDA, and food safety compliance requirements
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement initiatives
* Bachelor's degree preferred
