Procurement Manager
We are supporting a leading renewable energy owner and operator on their search for a Procurement Manager. This role sits within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction organization and supports the strategic procurement of key equipment and services across a growing portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. The position plays a unique role at the intersection of project execution and long-term asset management, helping shape procurement strategies that optimize lifecycle performance, operational reliability, and total asset value. The successful candidate will work closely with development, construction, operations, asset management, finance, and legal teams to support sourcing initiatives, supplier relationships, and long-term service strategies across the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with equipment suppliers, OEMs, service providers, and O&M partners across utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Support the negotiation and execution of supply agreements, service agreements, long-term service agreements (LTSAs), warranties, and performance guarantees
- Evaluate procurement opportunities with a focus on lifecycle performance, operability, maintainability, availability, and total cost of ownership
- Conduct market research and analysis on suppliers, technologies, pricing trends, supply chain risks, and regulatory developments
- Support risk mitigation initiatives related to supply chain constraints, operational performance, equipment reliability, and long-term asset management
- Partner closely with development, engineering, construction, operations, finance, legal, and asset management teams to align procurement strategies with long-term project objectives
- Assist in the development and standardization of procurement strategies, scopes of work, commercial terms, and supplier engagement processes across the portfolio
- Support the transition from project construction into long-term operations by ensuring procurement decisions align with asset performance goals
- Analyze supplier proposals, commercial terms, warranties, and performance guarantees to support sourcing recommendations
- Assist with portfolio-wide procurement initiatives that improve efficiency, asset reliability, and long-term value creation
- Manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting critical project deadlines
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in procurement, EPC, renewable energy, project management, engineering, asset management, or related fields
- Experience supporting utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, or renewable energy projects
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute within deadline-driven environments
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience supporting O&M providers, asset management teams, or long-term service strategies
- Familiarity with LTSAs, warranties, performance guarantees, and service agreements
- Understanding of lifecycle asset performance and operational reliability considerations
- Experience evaluating supply chain, operational, and performance risks
- Knowledge of finance, economics, project management, Lean Six Sigma, or PMP methodologies
- Strong commercial mindset and ability to balance operational, technical, and financial considerations
