Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible growing and owning a portfolio of client accounts. They will be responsible for a $50M+ book of business within their region, traveling up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to consistently achieve and exceed sales, margin, and growth objectives.
  • Maintain direct responsibility for an assigned territory, demonstrating success as both a strategic sales leader and individual contributor.
  • Drive team performance through ongoing coaching, performance management, skills development, and accountability measures.
  • Balance leadership responsibilities, operational oversight, and customer-facing activities to ensure alignment with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to key accounts.
  • Identify and capitalize on market growth opportunities, expanding market share and driving product category performance within the region.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on revenue growth, customer retention, and increased share of wallet.
  • Anticipate customer needs and align products, services, and value-added solutions with their business objectives.
  • Utilize CRM platforms, sales forecasting tools, and performance analytics to monitor results, identify opportunities, and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Logistics, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to resolve challenges and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Lead change initiatives and ensure successful execution of strategic priorities across the team and territory.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, continuous improvement, and profitable growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading multi-location sales teams and delivering revenue and margin growth.
  • Strong executive-level relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing regional sales strategies.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop Sales Managers and high-performing teams.
  • Strong pricing, business, and financial acumen.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to drive customer and business outcomes.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting, forecasting, and performance analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation: $145,000 - $165,000 + bonus
