Senior Manager of Maintenance and Engineering
A fortune 500 global manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineering Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, automation, and engineering functions across multiple facilities. Reporting to senior plant leadership, this role will be responsible for improving equipment reliability, optimizing asset performance, leading capital investments, and developing high-performing technical teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead maintenance, facilities, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, plant uptime, safety performance, and overall operational efficiency across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, CMMS effectiveness, spare parts optimization, contractor management, and reliability-focused continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee automation, process controls, and digital manufacturing systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation, controls upgrades, and troubleshooting of complex system issues.
- Manage capital projects from planning through startup, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with long-term plant growth objectives.
Key Qualifications
- 7+ years of maintenance, engineering, or project management experience within a manufacturing environment, with 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Proven experience leading maintenance, reliability, automation, and capital project initiatives, including CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment uptime improvements.
- Strong background in chemical, paint/coatings, batch manufacturing, or other process manufacturing environments, with expertise in industrial controls, process safety, and plant operations.
