Assitant Plant Manager
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading transformer manufacturer looking for a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Plant Manager to help oversee the daily operations of a their manufacturing facility. This role works closely with site leadership to drive efficient production, uphold safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives across all departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective communicator, and thrives in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily plant operations, including production scheduling, safety compliance, and quality control.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and production teams to ensure alignment on goals and timely resolution of operational issues.
- Assist department supervisors with workforce scheduling, workflow optimization, and problem-solving.
- Gather and analyze operational data to inform decisions and support performance improvement.
- Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement efforts by coordinating resources and tracking progress.
- Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings and follow up on key action items.
- Assist with onboarding, training coordination, and performance monitoring for plant staff.
- Monitor resource utilization and support initiatives to improve cost efficiency.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to operations or supervisory roles preferably in electrical or heavy manufacturing
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
