Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 Base Salary + Bonus Potential

Company Overview

Our client is a growing manufacturing organization serving the HVAC industry. The company is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, inventory strategy, and procurement operations across a multi-site manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support production, inventory, cost savings, and supplier performance objectives. This individual will work closely with operations, manufacturing, engineering, planning, and finance teams to ensure the uninterrupted flow of materials while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement and sourcing activities across direct and indirect spend categories.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on cost, quality, delivery, and service performance.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and long-term supplier partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and inventory teams to ensure material availability and optimize inventory levels.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier risks, and commodity impacts to support sourcing decisions.
  • Manage supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, and corrective action processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on new product launches, engineering changes, and product transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Lead and develop procurement processes that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and manufacturing supply chains.
  • Experience working within ERP systems and utilizing procurement-related analytics.
  • Proven ability to drive cost savings initiatives and process improvements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Background

  • Experience within HVAC, industrial manufacturing, building products, construction products, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to sheet metal, fabricated components, electrical components, motors, controls, or other engineered products.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality and continuous improvement methodologies.
