HR Generalist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a temporary Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations within our wood products manufacturing facility. This 6-month assignment will focus on providing day-to-day HR support to employees and management, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining a productive and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Support recruitment efforts including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and onboarding.
  • Administer and track employee attendance, leaves of absence, and timekeeping systems.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, helping to resolve workplace issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Maintain HR records and documentation in compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Coordinate training sessions and compliance activities related to safety and workplace policies.
  • Support performance management processes including evaluations and documentation.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to support workforce planning and organizational initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Assignment Length: 6 months (Temporary)
