Manufacturing Director

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director for a leading FMCG company with a large plant in the Shanghai area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Production Management: Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Cost Control: Monitor production costs, optimize resource allocation, and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and inventory management.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry regulations, environmental standards, and workplace safety protocols.
  • Technology Integration: Drive the adoption of automation, AI-driven analytics, and digital transformation in manufacturing operations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with R&D, sales, and marketing teams to align production capabilities with market demands.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or similar technical fields.
  • Minimum 10+ years in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably within the FMCG/healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, drive change, and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making, KPI analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, production planning tools, and automation technologies.
