A leading global freight forwarder is looking for an Operations Export Specialist to join its dynamic logistics team. No two days are the same. You'll be at the heart of export operations, coordinating shipments across international markets while working closely with customers, carriers, customs authorities, and overseas offices.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
- Coordinating ocean, air, road, and multimodal transport movements.
- Preparing and checking export documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs documents, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Communicating proactively with customers, carriers, agents, and overseas offices.
- Monitoring shipment progress and resolving any operational challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Managing costs, invoicing, and shipment profitability.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term client relationships.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in export operations within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of international transportation and export procedures.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade documentation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
