Procurement Manager

As a Procurement Manager, you will drive both strategic and operational procurement initiatives across a multi‑site environment. Partnering closely with Category Managers, you will implement sourcing strategies, lead competitive bidding processes, negotiate regional contracts, and optimize supplier performance. You will play a central role in evaluating and pre‑qualifying contractors and suppliers in alignment with company standards while leveraging regional vendor networks to deliver total cost of ownership (TCO) benefits.

This position is accountable for delivering measurable savings, enhancing supply efficiency, ensuring quality, and advancing continuous improvement initiatives across the region-aligned with broader Zone and Global procurement strategies.

Requirements of the Role:

Operational & Tactical Procurement Leadership

  • Manage operational and tactical procurement activities across goods and services categories in alignment with category strategies, policies, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Oversee procurement responsibilities for the NE and Great Lakes Region.

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned locations, driving competitive bidding, supplier evaluation, and cost‑effective contracting.
  • Leverage regional vendor bases to identify and execute aggregated spend and TCO improvement opportunities.
  • Negotiate regional purchasing contracts with the support of Category Management.

Cross‑Functional Influence & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary liaison between Category Management and operations teams, influencing key stakeholders such as Plant Managers, VPs, and Operations Leads to align on procurement objectives.
  • Communicate procurement policies and procedures to end users to ensure compliant purchasing practices.

Savings Delivery & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and lead procurement initiatives across operational levels to achieve regional and corporate targets.
  • Drive improvements in supply chain efficiency, quality, and process effectiveness aligned with regional and global strategies.

Team Leadership (as applicable)

  • Manage and develop Buyers and Warehouse Managers within the assigned geography.
  • Foster a culture of performance excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.
