Quality Engineer

Overview

A growing industrial manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Engineer to support and manage quality activities across major customer projects. This role will serve as the primary quality representative for customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring compliance with project requirements while driving continuous improvement, root cause analysis, supplier quality, and inspection activities throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer quality requirements and concerns.
  • Develop and execute project quality plans and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Coordinate customer documentation packages and project databooks.
  • Host internal and customer witness testing and inspection activities.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective action efforts.
  • Perform fabrication and assembly inspections at internal facilities and supplier sites.
  • Support internal quality audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Manage nonconformance reporting (NCR) processes and resolution activities.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and quality assessments.
  • Track and report quality performance metrics.
  • Work directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technologist role.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with control panel drawings and building plans.
  • Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to work directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or industrial project environments.
