About the Company
Our client is a growing global semiconductor company developing advanced SoC, MCU and AI processing solutions for the automotive industry. Their technologies power next-generation mobility platforms used by leading automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers globally.
As customer demand continues to grow, they are looking to strengthen their Munich-based technical team with an experienced Field Application Engineer to support their customers.
The Opportunity
This is a highly technical, customer-facing position where you will act as the link between automotive customers and the engineering teams.
You will support customers in integrating complex semiconductor solutions into their products, troubleshooting technical challenges, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring successful project delivery.
The role offers significant exposure to embedded systems, automotive SoCs, AI processors and next-generation mobility technologies while working directly with leading automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers across Europe
- Support customer development activities from design-in through to production
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to semiconductor products and embedded systems
- Coordinate closely with engineering teams to escalate and solve customer challenges
- Deliver technical presentations, documentation and training to customers
- Manage technical aspects of customer projects and ensure milestones are achieved
- Conduct regular customer visits throughout Germany and Europe
- Build trusted relationships with customer engineering and project teams
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 2-10 years of experience within semiconductors, embedded systems or electronics
- Background in Application Engineering, Field Applications Engineering, Customer Engineering or Embedded Development
- Understanding of:
- Automotive SoCs
- Application Processors (APs)
- Microcontrollers (MCUs)
- Embedded systems architecture
- Experience with:
- Embedded Linux
- Android-based embedded platforms
- ARM-based systems
- C and/or C++
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Fluent English communication skills
- Willingness to travel within Germany and Europe
