Director of Continuous Improvement
A leading medical device manufacturing company in Pennsylvania is seeking a Continuous Improvement Director to lead strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance. This role will be instrumental in driving a culture of continuous improvement across all departments, with a strong focus on Lean, Six Sigma, and FDA/GMP standards.
- Location: Philadelphia, PA (on-site)
- Compensation: $140,000-$185,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Lead the development and execution of continuous improvement strategies across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain operations.
- Lean & Six Sigma Leadership: Champion Lean methodologies and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste, improve process capability, and enhance product quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, quality assurance, regulatory, and production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Compliance & Quality Focus: Ensure all improvement initiatives align with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and internal quality systems.
- Team Development: Mentor and train staff on CI tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on continuous improvement.
- Strong background in medical device manufacturing, with deep knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP, and ISO 13485.
- Certified in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), or TPM.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence change across all levels of an organization.
