Maintenance Manager
About the Job
DSJ Global is working with a leading packaging manufacturer who is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Richmond, VA to lead maintenance operations within a state-of-the-art corrugated facility. This role will provide hands-on leadership to the maintenance team while driving a best-in-class operation focused on safety, reliability, and performance.
Machine uptime is critical to success, as the facility operates without redundancy. This individual will play a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment runs at peak efficiency to support high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the maintenance team, setting clear expectations around safety, performance, and accountability
- Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency
- Implement and maintain a best-in-class preventive and predictive maintenance program
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, cost reduction, and process optimization
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience within corrugated manufacturing
- 10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with leadership responsibility
- Proven ability to lead teams in a 24/7 operation with high uptime demands
- Strong background in equipment reliability, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance
- Experience managing budgets and driving operational efficiencies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred
