Assistant Procurement Project Manager - Renewables

We are supporting a fast growing construction company who is working to integrate sustainable energy solutions into their projects. As an Assistant Procurement Manager, you'll serve as a key player in multiple projects through managing vendor communications, streamlining material orders, and tracking deliverables to support major infrastructure developments. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys juggling logistics, timelines, and vendor inputs in a high-energy, collaborative setting.

Primary Duties and Key Functions

  • Generate and dispatch materials requisitions using electronic signature platforms

  • Facilitate communication between supplier representatives and senior team members on purchase documentation

  • Maintain and update procurement tracking databases for active and newly awarded projects

  • Organize and lead technical review sessions with manufacturers prior to material approval

  • Monitor the lifecycle of documentation and deliveries, particularly for complex electrical system components

  • Flag high-risk projects in procurement dashboards and support with escalation tracking

  • Collect and log component-level cost breakdowns as needed

  • Oversee routine data gathering from suppliers to ensure regional project teams have current updates

  • Distribute monthly reports to support internal estimating efforts

  • Communicate with manufacturers on lead time changes to ensure scheduling accuracy

  • Maintain visibility on every assigned project from the initial order through to completion

  • Support miscellaneous procurement needs including inventory shifts and urgent material sourcing

Ideal Background

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, procurement, engineering, or a related area preferred

  • 2 + years of experience in project procurement or supply chain processes, especially within construction, manufacturing, or utilities, is advantageous

  • Strong organizational habits and the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints

  • Clear communicator, proactive problem-solver, and adaptable to change

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook

  • Commitment to professional integrity, ownership of results, collaboration, innovation, and long-term growth
