We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team in Amsterdam, focusing on Air and Ocean Freight services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Air and Ocean Freight sector, using market research and analysis to pinpoint viable leads. This includes attending industry events, networking, and staying updated with industry news to capture early market shifts.
  • Formulate strategic sales plans to effectively penetrate new markets, including detailed market entry strategies and competitor analysis. Prepare comprehensive proposals that highlight the benefits and competitive advantages of our services.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients while expanding the client base, focusing on enhancing client satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Implement regular feedback mechanisms to ensure our services meet client expectations and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits, ensuring all deals align with corporate goals and compliance standards. Oversee the contract lifecycle, from initial drafting through to final signing, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to legal requirements.

Skills Required:

  • Sales: Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close, demonstrating a high level of negotiation and persuasive skills. Exceptional ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Business Development: Demonstrable experience in developing strategic sales plans and growing new business areas, with a track record of successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends and client needs.
  • Logistics Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics operations, particularly Air and Ocean Freight, including regulatory and environmental aspects. Comprehensive knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics technology.
