As the organization continues to expand its presence within the rapidly growing data center industry, they are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across the United States.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic go-to-market plan focused on the Data Center vertical. This individual will drive new business development efforts, expand relationships with key stakeholders, and establish the company as a preferred provider of electrical infrastructure and critical power solutions.
This is a true hunter role focused on creating demand, developing channel partnerships, and winning new opportunities with hyperscale, colocation, EPC, consulting engineering, contractor, and end-user accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow the Data Center vertical throughout the United States.
- Execute strategic business development initiatives and go-to-market plans.
- Generate new business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships.
- Build relationships with hyperscale operators, colocation providers, EPC firms, consulting engineers, electrical contractors, and end users.
- Promote and sell integrated electrical infrastructure and critical power solutions.
- Establish the company's presence within key data center accounts and projects.
- Partner with internal estimating, project management, and service teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasting activities through Salesforce CRM.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customer engagement and business growth.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of outside sales experience selling electrical infrastructure solutions into the data center market.
- Proven track record exceeding sales quotas and driving new business growth.
- Experience selling complex engineered-to-order electrical products and solutions.
- Strong relationships within the datacenter ecosystem, including:
- Hyperscale operators
- Colocation providers
- EPC firms
- Consulting engineers
- Electrical contractors
- End users
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the power management, electrical infrastructure, or critical power industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
- Salesforce CRM proficiency.
- Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Strong customer-focused approach with exceptional closing ability.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5-10+ years selling LV/MV electrical infrastructure solutions.
- Existing relationships within the data center power ecosystem.
- Experience calling on hyperscalers, colocation providers, EPCs, consulting engineers, and electrical contractors.
- Background selling switchgear, transformers, ATS, modular power systems, or other critical power products.
- Proven hunter mentality with success developing new territories and winning large-scale infrastructure projects.
Compensation
$140K-$180K Base + Uncapped Commission + 30% Bonus (60% with Quota Attainment) + Car Allowance.
