A growing engineered manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Buyer to join its on‑site team in Phoenix, AZ. This role supports multiple U.S. locations and plays a key part in managing capital expenditures, MRO purchasing, and service-related procurements across the business.


About the Role

This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and tracking capital expenditure, MRO, and service‑related purchase orders throughout the purchasing lifecycle.

You'll support purchasing activities across all U.S. business sites, partnering closely with suppliers, contractors, engineering, production, and facility teams. Strong skills in contract negotiation, supplier risk management, and relationship building are essential.


What You'll Do

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs, negotiations, PO issuance, delivery tracking, and expediting.
  • Mitigate supplier and contractor risk to protect the organization.
  • Select and evaluate qualified vendors, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate contracted service execution between internal teams and vendors.
  • Prepare scopes of work for service-related projects.
  • Provide accurate cost and lead-time estimates for MRO materials.
  • Resolve receiving and invoicing discrepancies.
  • Support special projects and future purchasing needs.
  • Attend facility management meetings and communicate cross-functionally.

What You Bring

  • 4-7 years of procurement experience, with strong exposure to MRO purchasing and service contracting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Logistics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with ERP systems (IFS or similar highly preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
