Commercial Manager
As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth within the chemical vertical. You will develop and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions that meet the complex needs of chemical manufacturers and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a commercial strategy focused on the chemical logistics market.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with chemical industry clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and compliance teams to design and deliver customized logistics solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments in the chemical sector.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, contracts, and pricing models.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Report on sales performance, pipeline development, and market intelligence to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial or business development role within the logistics or chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical supply chains, including safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., ADR, REACH).
- Proven track record in sales, client relationship management, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Dutch; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
