Continuous Improvement Engineer
One of our clients in the food and beverage industry is looking to bring on a Continuous Improvement Engineer. In this role, you will lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall production performance. You'll work cross-functionally to identify opportunities, implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the facility.
Location: Newark, NJ
Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Lead Kaizen events and root cause analysis sessions
- Develop and implement Lean manufacturing strategies
- Collaborate with operations, quality, and maintenance teams to drive process improvements
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on progress
- Train and mentor staff on continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Support capital projects and process redesign efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in high-volume production
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies
- Proven track record of leading successful improvement projects
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) is a plus
