Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: North Carolina
We're hiring a Controls Engineer to support automation, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role will focus on designing, programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing control systems to improve production performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and modify PLC, HMI, and control systems
- Troubleshoot automation and equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Support new equipment installations and process improvement projects
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and system standards
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Knowledge of HMI, SCADA, VFDs, and industrial networking is a plus
- Ability to travel to multiple manufacturing sites across North Carolina
