Cost Calculator Manager (M/F/D)

This role will play a pivotal part in shaping their cost strategies, optimising manufacturing processes, and contributing to the success of their automotive product lines.
PROFILE:
Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, supply chain management, tool making, or a comparable qualification.
Entrepreneurial mindset: strong interest in business operations with a solution-oriented, proactive approach.
Solid experience in cost calculation and offer preparation, ideally within the automotive supplier or automotive manufacturing industry.
Basic understanding of SAP and its core functions, with the ability to build on this knowledge.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus but not essential.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, with strong proficiency in Excel.
Experience working within the automotive industry or on automotive-related projects.
Strong analytic thinking with a structured, organised approach.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Goal-oriented and self-motivated, with a proactive working style.
Willingness to travel occasionally to client or supplier sites.
TASKS:
For existing automotive products: define process steps and value costs; conduct accurate post-calculation and cost analysis to support the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Develop and review detailed product cost structures, including material usage and costs, equipment, labour requirements, cycle times, tooling, and capital investments - particularly for new business or changes to current automotive projects.
Provide precise cost estimations for new automotive projects, actively contributing to the bidding phase to secure competitive and profitable pricing.
Analyse and improve production economic indicators, standardise production processes, and ensure the quality of master data to boost productivity, work quality, and loss reduction.
Identify opportunities and levers for cost optimisation.
Review and validate manufacturing assumptions for reasonableness and accuracy.
Integrate financial insights into costing data and set cost targets for purchased items or services.
Support purchasing negotiations through make/buy analysis and target cost setting.
Actively contribute to departmental initiatives and process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
Collaborate with suppliers to optimise their processes and improve cost structures.
