Summary:
A leading provider of high-performance cloud infrastructure is seeking a Data Center Logistics Specialist to support its growing operations. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of sensitive hardware components across multiple data center sites, with a strong emphasis on automation, precision, and operational excellence.
As a Logistics Specialist, you will manage inbound and outbound shipments of critical data center hardware, maintain inventory accuracy, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize logistics operations. You'll also contribute to automation initiatives aimed at streamlining routine tasks and improving overall efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee shipments of servers, GPUs, networking equipment, and other sensitive hardware.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate with logistics partners, carriers, and vendors to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
- Develop automation solutions and generate reports on process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and chain-of-custody requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations, preferably in a data center or technology infrastructure environment.
- Proficient in WMS and inventory tracking software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with data center hardware (servers, GPUs, networking gear).
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Certifications in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
- Experience with automation tools or scripting languages (Python, SQL).
