About the Role
We are conducting a search for a Deputy Engineering Director to oversee engineering and capital investment projects across a diverse portfolio of manufacturing sites in Southern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This is a senior leadership position, second-in-command to the Engineering Director, with succession potential for the top role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and CAPEX strategy across 6 factories.
- Act as the primary technical authority in the absence of the Engineering Director, engaging with senior stakeholders at C-level.
- Drive implementation of engineering strategies and ensure technical excellence across all sites.
- Managing and overseeing a network of direct reports and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with global standards and deliver high-quality engineering solutions for complex manufacturing environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education & Background: Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical).
- Industry Experience: Strong track record in food manufacturing, ideally in dairy, with expertise in aseptic processing and UHT (Ultra High Temperature) technologies.
- Communication: Fluent in English.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%).
