About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading industrial manufacturing company seeking a Design Engineer to support the development, customization, and continuous improvement of engineered products used in large-scale commercial and industrial applications. This position offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from concept development and design through manufacturing support and product validation.
What You'll Do
- Develop and configure engineered product solutions to support customer and market requirements.
- Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and product documentation.
- Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing operations.
- Develop and improve engineering standards, processes, and design practices.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability, performance, reliability, cost, and safety.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support product development.
- Participate in prototype builds, validation testing, and product launch activities.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Investigate field performance issues and implement engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, sales, and customer-facing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 2-3 years of product design or product development experience.
- Experience supporting products from concept through production release.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software; Creo experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation and design processes.
- Experience supporting manufacturing and product validation activities.
- Familiarity with structural analysis, product testing, or engineering calculations is a plus.
- Experience with engineering analysis tools such as MathCAD, MATLAB, or similar software is beneficial.
- PE license or interest in pursuing professional registration is a plus.
