The Director of Continuous Improvement (CI) leads strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality and customer satisfaction. This role is pivotal in driving Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering functions.
The Director of Continuous Improvement will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams in Lean/Six Sigma projects to optimize processes.
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in production, logistics, and quality systems.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs to track improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with plant managers, engineers, and quality teams to drive cost savings and productivity gains.
- Benchmark best practices and integrate them across business units.
The Director of Continuous Improvement will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or process industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership CI role.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt.
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments is highly preferred.
