FSQA Manager
A leading, family-owned manufacturer of premium refrigerated foods is seeking a proactive and experienced FSQA Manager to lead our quality assurance team and uphold the highest standards of food safety and product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Manage and mentor a team of QA Technicians, ensuring consistent application of quality standards on the production floor.
- Program Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain robust QA programs including Preventive Controls, SQF, HACCP, GMPs, Food Defense, and other prerequisite programs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison with USDA inspectors, manage internal and external audits, and ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance food safety and quality systems, identifying opportunities for process optimization.
- Training & Development: Educate team members on company food safety protocols and quality expectations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field required.
- Certifications: HACCP certification required; PCQI certification preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of QA experience in food manufacturing, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
- Skills: Strong communication, audit readiness, and sensory evaluation capabilities.
