Director of Sales

The Director of Sales leads industry growth across retail, cold chain, grocery, and foodservice while leading a national sales team. Our client, a leading manufacturing company specializing in pallets, is looking for an individual with a leading mentality who is looking to continue their career in supply chain solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  • Execute sales strategies that drive market share growth and expand key customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with national and enterprise accounts.
  • Drive forecast accuracy, pipeline management, and sales performance accountability.
  • Champion a solution-selling approach focused on customer needs and value creation.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and Product teams to support customer success and business growth.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience through proactive account management and issue resolution.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities and inform sales strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience with a proven track record of revenue growth.
  • Experience developing and executing successful sales growth strategies.
  • Background selling into retail, grocery, foodservice, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or related B2B markets preferred.
  • CRM proficiency required; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 40%.
